Paediatric treatments

Children often respond beautifully to East Asian medicine. Treatments are gentle, engaging, and tailored to your child’s age and temperament. Sessions may include acupressure, shonishin (a non-needling Japanese paediatric technique), light bodywork, paediatric massage, and simple herbal or dietary recommendations. Needles, if used at all, are minimal and very quick.

Paediatric treatments may support:

Bedwetting

Reflux and gastrointestinal conditions

Sleep issues

Growing pains

Recurrent colds & lowered immunity

Asthema

Anxiety and mental health

Puberty and developmental issues

Support with neurodiversity

What to expect

A session begins with a gentle conversation about your child’s health, routines, temperament, and any recent changes. Treatments are dynamic and responsive to how your child is feeling on the day—shifting easily between acupressure, shonishin, light bodywork, play-based techniques, or brief needling if appropriate. Needles, when used, are always minimal and only ever done with clear consent from both the parent and the child. Sessions are short, calm, and paced to maintain comfort and trust, with plenty of space for parents to ask questions. You’ll leave with practical guidance—simple steps you can use at home to continue supporting your child between visits.
