Hi there, welcome!
I’m Bridie, a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine practising in the beautiful South West, from clinics in Margaret River and Busselton.
My approach combines Classical East Asian Medicine with modern integrative practice, blending ancient diagnostic frameworks with current clinical understanding to help the body return to balance. I’m particularly drawn to working with children across a range of health concerns. I love the creativity and responsiveness required to meet kids wherever they’re at on the day, building trust, working playfully, and witnessing their incredible capacity for change and resilience. Beyond paediatrics, I enjoy supporting people with complex or chronic skin conditions using acupuncture and herbs (both oral and topical applications). I’m often experimenting with new recipes for natural, herbal-medicine based skin ointments and serums!
What first drew me to this potent medicine was my own experience during a period of burnout. In my twenties, I ran a social enterprise that expanded nationally within a few short years. I found myself dealing with a range of symptoms that were impacting my day to day. Insomnia, menstrual disturbances, vertigo, tingling in my hands and brain fog all seemed unrelated, but East Asian Medicine helped me recognise the connected patterns of imbalance, and through acupuncture and herbs I started shifting back into balance. That experience sparked a deep respect for this medicine and continues to shape how I practise today; with curiosity, compassion, and an awareness of how deeply our internal and external worlds are linked.
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I’m committed to creating a space that is genuinely inclusive and queer-friendly. I also aim to offer care that is neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and body-positive. I happily work within exisiting treatment plans wether that includes pharmaceutical or other therapeutic supports.
Accessibility matters to me. I offer lower-cost community clinic sessions in Margaret River every fortnight to make high quality acupuncture available to more people.
Outside of clinic, you’ll usually find me planning my next long-distance hike, slinging clay on the pottery wheel, or at Nami with my partner ordering bubble tea (my reccy: green jasmine yuzu, tapioca boba, 25% sugar, 25% ice).
